Position Summary

The person in this position is responsible for installing and maintaining Scientific Games equipment, including electronic gaming / slot machines, card shufflers, computer and networking devices, and other gaming equipment at the location of the customer. Under the general supervision of the Field Service Manager or Field Service Supervisor, will perform advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve problems.

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures that tools, equipment, and company vehicle are kept in safe and working condition
  • Uses mobile app to process work orders and other job-related activities
  • Provides high quality service to customers
  • Troubleshoot to the board or sub-assembly level using common-sense troubleshooting techniques, internal diagnostics, and functional testing with playing cards or test money
  • Performs installation, and removal of machines at casino site as scheduled
  • Completes service calls and preventive maintenance on equipment at casino site as assigned
  • Installs and configures server-based networked progressive systems for tables and gaming machines
  • Coordinates with local IT departments to install and troubleshoot Scientific Games’ networking equipment at customer sites
  • Verifies property specifications so game options and parameters can be set accordingly
  • Reviews customer issues with management and tech support
  • Qualifications:
  • Experience in the assembly, testing, or repair of electronic devices preferred

Education

  • High school diploma or its equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Valid driver’s license for the state in which you are based; clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain a gaming license with various Tribal Gaming Agencies
  • Basic mechanical assembly skills
  • Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming devices
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking and network topology
  • Ability to read and understand parts and service manuals and technical bulletins
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Desire to lead and help others
  • Problem solving skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely move large machines on an appropriate cart or dolly
