Location: Flexible with preferences to Seattle, Austin and the Bay Area Ca.

We are looking for an individual to own building and managing customer engagement models, specifically in our games experience. This role sits at the intersection of product management, marketing, software, and business to ensure we are rapidly identifying and improving the customer gaming experience. As a new technology, we need someone who is undaunted by the unknown and uses customer data to illuminate the path forward for our team. You will be in the driver’s seat as we invent the future on behalf of our customers.

The ideal candidate has a track record of leading a cross-functional team through ambiguous and high-pressure entrepreneurial situations, has impeccable communication and project management skills, and has demonstrable experience developing new data model. You will need to be comfortable developing and implementing a strategy then iterating as you learn. We value a test and learn approach and looking for someone who has the ability to own projects and work autonomously to deliver results that scale as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

Own games customer engagement

Develop and define new customer engagement models that delight customers each and every time they use our product

Partner with Product Managers, LiveOps, and Games Producers to define and implement product changes

Partner with Business Intelligence and Software to build a robust data catalog and reporting tools

Identify, define, and implement A/B testing to continually innovate on behalf of the customer

Dive deep into customer usage to identify customer pain points and develop solutions to resolve

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS in technical or quantitative discipline
  • 8+ years of experience with data scripting languages (e.g SQL, Python) and statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab)
  • 3+ years in the gaming industry; working knowledge of development process, live-ops, and customer engagement
  • Direct experience with developing and implementing clustering models to drive business results
  • Proven ability iterate through a build, measure, and iterate mentality leveraging A/B testing and statistical analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, statistics, information systems, economics, mathematics or similar
  • Working knowledge of machine learning tools and techniques
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to business leaders
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
  • Experience working in a start-up environment where priorities quickly shift and invention is mandatory
  • Mobile apps and multiplayer gaming experience
