THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Senior Associate to join the Strategy & Operations team. The Strategy & Operations group serves as a partner and advisor to the Executive team and works on critical strategic initiatives and opportunities facing the business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small group with significant exposure across the FanDuel Group business, as well as to the broader global company (Flutter Entertainment).
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Work alongside leaders from the Strategy & Operations team to develop hypotheses and deliver high-impact projects across the business
  • Gather necessary data and run key analyses
  • Leverage insights from analyses to develop recommendations
  • Collaborate with teams across the FanDuel organization (e.g., Marketing, Product, Customer Operations) on critical projects as needed
  • Liaise with teams in the U.K., Australia, and beyond to identify opportunities to leverage best practices and drive operational efficiencies across the global group
  • Example projects could include:
  • Building solutions for teams to achieve their goals and operate more efficiently and effectively
  • Assisting functional teams in identifying areas of growth and developing execution plans
  • Supporting the portfolio strategy, including finding opportunities to extend the value of our assets
  • Coordinating the launch of new programs
  • Developing perspectives on opportunities for innovation
  • Working directly with the CEO and other Executives on major internal initiatives

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 1-2+ years in strategy consulting, or internal strategy or business/corporate development at a sports, media or tech company preferred
  • Strong knowledge of business and financial concepts
  • Quick learner; willing to dive in and get their hands dirty
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions, and areas to add value
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, hypothesis driven with the ability to independently evaluate opportunities, conduct analysis, and make innovative strategic recommendations
  • Experience independently conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, including creating complex Excel models and leading market research
  • Strong organizational & project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Excellent communication skills; skilled at influencing and building relationships across the organization at all levels, including with senior leadership
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Team player with the desire to bring a positive attitude to a group dynamic
  • Passion for FanDuel and the gaming industry preferred; an avid sports & gaming fan
