Your creative prowess will breathe life into character classes and design epic special endgame encounters, fostering collaboration and innovation within your team.Responsibilities

  • Craft unique, balanced, and engaging classes, overseeing your team to ensure a cohesive vision across all elements.
  • Design and develop endgame encounters, leading your team to create challenges that captivate players and foster a sense of camaraderie and achievement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including artists, writers, and engineers, promoting a collaborative environment that brings your collective vision to life.
  • Mentor and guide your team, ensuring their growth and development while upholding the highest standards in class and encounter design.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, empowering your team to create groundbreaking experiences that set the standard for excellence.

Experience

  • 5+ years of game design experience shipping AAA multiplayer titles.
  • A deep understanding of Diablo and the principles that make the game special.
  • Ability to formulate, articulate, and champion a compelling game vision.
  • An intuitive grasp of Blizzard’s core values and design values, and the ability to instill them in others.
  • Knowledge of overall game design, player experience, and emerging industry trends.
  • Exceptional spoken and written communication skills.

Pluses

  • Experience leading a development team through the successful completion of a feature or project.
  • Development experience shipping ARPG/MMORPG or other large-scale projects.
