Responsibilities

  • Create concept art and high-quality 2D assets for characters, vehicles and environments in a stylized anime aesthetic
  • Create visual mockups to communicate game ideas
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain the artistic vision for various projects
  • Provide constructive feedback to the art team and help them achieve their potential
  • Participate actively in project planning and creative brainstorming sessions
  • Be able to troubleshoot and solve artistic issues that arise during production

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the video game industry
  • Proven experience as a 2D artist in the game industry, with demonstrated success in an anime aesthetic
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
  • Strong knowledge of composition, color theory, and layout
  • Demonstrated ability to create expressive, stylized characters and environments in an anime style
  • Mastery of time management to adhere to schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Strong understanding of the game development process
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya)
  • Experience in storyboarding
  • Previous experience in a leadership position
  • Degree from an Art College
